Derek Lunsford Reclaims Mr. Olympia 2025 Title: Full Winners List and Highlights from Las Vegas

Las Vegas — The 2025 Mr. Olympia show wrapped up Sunday evening at Resorts World Las Vegas with Derek Lunsford returning to the top in a thrilling comeback that has stolen the headlines of the bodybuilding community. The victory sees him return to the top position from which he was briefly dethroned. In the second position came Iranian giant Hadi Choopan in his third consecutive second-place finish, while Andrew Jacked took the third place on the podium.

Lunsford collected a prize purse of $600,000, the biggest single share in this year’s increased $2 million total event prize pool. Choopan, runner-up, collected $200,000, and Jacked received $100,000 for third place. The higher financial stakes reflect the increasing commercial value and stature of the Mr. Olympia brand.

Choopan’s performance was particularly noteworthy: not only did he solidify himself as one of the pre-eminent fighters of recent years, but he also took home the People’s Champion award—receiving the most votes from fans worldwide. His consistency at the highest level has enabled him to collect a gigantic following and impact far beyond the cage.

Outside of the top three, Samson Dauda, winner for 2024, was fourth, and Martin Fitzwater took fifth. Other big-name competitors included Nick Walker in sixth and Brandon Curry in seventh, solidifying a notoriously deep lineup of talent.

In the Classic Physique category, Ramon Queiroz (also known as “Dino”) became the first Brazilian to claim the Olympia title in that category, dethroning Chris Bumstead, who had long dominated the category. This change marks the beginning of a new era for bodybuilding’s aesthetic divisions.

This year’s show also made headlines for its return to Las Vegas and record-setting prize increases, which reflect the sport’s growing economic and media worth. With new titlists crowned and rivalries cemented, Olympia’s legacy goes from strength to strength—and the 2025 show will be remembered as a landmark year for competitive bodybuilding.
